The Ballarat International Foto Biennale wanted a temporary sales desk for their popup ticket hub and merchandise store inside an historic 19th century Mining Exchange building. To keep the budget low, Fold Theory re-purposed some cardboard wall panels from a past project, cutting it down to the right height and cladding it in newly printed facade panels, to match the Biennale’s signature yellow. A CNC-routed plywood sheet added functional robustness to the counter top. Assembled without glue, the flat pack system is in storage awaiting its next incarnation in two years time.
