Funday Woolworths Activation

Fold Theory was commissioned by Ten Hats Agency to design and produce two freestanding retail displays for Funday Natural Sweets as part of a month-long activation within Woolworths Chadstone.
Inspired by the Brighton Beach bathing boxes, the units were designed to embody the brand’s upbeat, summery energy while functioning as robust cardboard shelving structures. Each display was engineered to support 1.2 kg per shelf, featuring a razor-thin cantilevered edge for a crisp architectural profile, a deliberate departure from the typical guarded-front style of point-of-sale (POS) displays.
This project marked Fold Theory’s first venture into the POS realm, bringing an architectural approach to temporary retail design, balancing structure, sustainability, and brand character.
