Nero Tapware’s in-house designer came up with this stand design for hotel expo NoVacancy, and tasked Fold Theory with producing it in recyclable materials. All of the visible wall linings are made from cardboard, in some areas digitally printed to mimic stone and tiling. In some sleight of hand, an MDF internal structure supports Nero Tapware’s heavy stone benchtops and allowed tradespeople without cardboard expertise to install the tapware within the tight time constraints of a two day install. The LED neon strip lighting and the television were demounted for future use.
